The Travel Convention
The Travel Convention in Barcelona proved to be a huge success. The weather couldn’t have been better with hot sunny days leading into warm nights which proved perfect for partying inside and out!
There was an incredible line-up of top industry speakers, including Carnival boss Micky Arison and TUI CEO Peter Long. PricewaterhouseCoopers provided detailed research information about the current and future state of the industry, Richard Reeves and John Knell from The Intelligence Agency provided delegates with an entertaining and informative 30 Minute MBA and former Chancellor of the Exchequer, Lord Norman Lamont, gave his cautiously optimistic take on the future of the economy.

A series of Master Classes showed delegates practical ways to improve business, management and marketing.

The first ever Luxury Travel and Cruise Forums complemented the main Convention with expert advice, information and networking opportunities. They proved to be a great way to provide specialists with two events in one.

Activities and social events are great informal networking opportunities which ensure the Convention is fun! The travel industry is well known for its ‘work hard play hard’ attitude and delegates certainly made the most of the chances they got to let their hair down. Our Spanish hosts, as ever, proved very generous staging an incredible Barcelona Host Party with firework dances, human castles and a dramatic aerial show.
