Taking Responsible STEPS WHILE YOU TRAVEL

There is a small charge of £4 added to each registration. This money will to go towards the Reduce My Footprint carbon offsetting programme and, more specifically, into the Verified Emissions Reductions (VERs) project.

Through this programme we are able to estimate the carbon footprint of everyone attending the Convention and take action to reduce it.

Reduce My Footprint was set up by ABTA with the Association of Independent Tour Operators (AITO) and is facilitated and operated by Carbon Offsets Ltd. The Reduce My Footprint website also offers individuals and businesses information and advice on how to reduce carbon emissions, as well as the opportunity to offset residual carbon emissions through Certified Emission Reductions (CERs), Verified Emission Reductions (VERs), and projects managed by The Travel Foundation and Tourism Industry Carbon Offset Service (TICOS—though access to TICOS projects is limited to larger businesses).

Climate change is a major problem facing mankind and we can all take action to reduce our individual footprints. Making this contribution is a small step to improving our world.
