Telegraph Media Group supports The Travel Convention

For the second year running, ABTA and Telegraph Media Group have formed a dynamic partnership that reinforces The Travel Convention as the premier industry event.

Graham Boynton, Group Travel Editor of Telegraph Travel said “We’re delighted to be involved in The Travel Convention for the second year. It’s an event which brings together many of the most powerful and influential people in the travel industry. The Telegraph Media Group is ideally placed to help ABTA achieve its goals. With readers who spend more on holidays than the readers of any other quality daily newspaper, and the UK's most visited quality newspaper website, ABTA could not have a more appropriate and valuable media partner.”

ABTA’s Chief Executive Mark Tanzer said: “This kind of relationship with a strong national media partner enhances consumer awareness of the ABTA brand and what ABTA does. Positioning ABTA at the centre of the broad range of travel issues reinforces our position as The Travel Association, maintaining the association's relevance and helping us to expand our membership.”

Employer Views Wanted For Survey

People1st, the sector skills council for hospitality, leisure, travel and tourism, has received a great response from employees to their online survey about training in the travel industry, but would welcome more views from employers.   They particularly want to hear from those who are CEOs or Owners and those involved in Training, HR or Finance.   The survey is the first of its kind in the travel industry and will provide up to date information on training and ongoing development, helping to ensure that solutions developed are employer led.

Results of the survey will be announced during the Empowering, Retaining and Investing in your Staff Master Class at the Convention.

Please take a few minutes to complete the survey, Click Here. All entries will be placed into a prize draw to win an iPod Nano. The closing date is 31 July.

The Fun Run
Loosen up your muscles after the first day of business sessions and join us for the Fun Run. The route will be along the Meloneras Boulevard. As it’s only 3km, within walking distance of the Convention Centre and with beautiful sea views, everyone can help us raise money for the Family Holiday Association.
